Gavin Bottger (everyone calls him “Gavo”) first popped up at X Games in the Next X amateur series taking 2nd in both 2018 and 2019. That talent funnel has worked exactly as it was meant to: he has now earned 4 medals (2 silver, 2 bronze) from 8 Skateboard Park starts, and represented USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, finishing 10th. Wins at Dew Tour in 2022 and at the 2023 World Skate Park Championships served notice that he can contend for the top of the podium, too. A strong all-around skater, he also focuses on filming video parts, like his 2021 “Scuttle” for Thrasher Magazine.
